The REMOVABLE sharpener allows you to proceed with cleaning more quickly, since the fixed sharpener does not take up much space which hinders cleaning more.
On the other hand, the fixed sharpener is already mounted on the slicer and is ready to use. Furthermore, there is no risk of loss.
The slicer allows you to easily slice cured meats, bread, boneless meat, vegetables, fruit and cheese.
We recommend not slicing frozen products to avoid damaging the blade. We recommend slicing roasts or other cooked meat after cooling.
Cutting hot and therefore very tender meat does not allow for optimal cutting. It is preferable to let it cool.
Each slicer has a knob to adjust the thickness of the cut. Depending on the type of food to be sliced ??and the desired result, it should always be adjusted before starting work.
Cleaning of the machine must be carried out after each use or, if necessary, more frequently (with each change of product type), paying attention to carry out scrupulous cleaning of all surfaces that come into contact with the food to be cut.
- Do not use jets of water.
- Do not use toothbrushes which could damage the surfaces of the machine.
- Use a soft cloth moistened with normal neutral detergent.
Before cleaning, make sure to: remove the plug from the socket, close the blade.
To clean the slicer, use a soft cloth moistened with normal neutral detergent.
CLEANING THE BLADE: Clean only with alcohol
ATTENTION When cleaning the blade with alcohol, be careful not to excessively degrease the "cutting edge" (outer edge of the blade), to avoid the phenomenon of oxidation. In this case proceed with a wad soaked in edible oil and relubricate the cutting edge. If oxidation is already present, carry out a sharpening cycle before lubricating the cutting edge. NB: Do not clean the machine with jets of water or steam or similar methods, with corrosive detergents or in the dishwasher. (do not put the slicer or its parts in the dishwasher, e.g. food press, disc, sharpener)
If small rust spots have appeared on the edge of the blade, you can remove them by sharpening.
To prevent this from happening, always dry the blade after cleaning it so that the humidity does not promotes the growth of rust and, if necessary, soak a wad with edible oil and lubricate the cutting edge.
The frequency of sharpening the blade depends on use. For normal home use, it may be sufficient to sharpen the blade once or twice a year. However, if you use the slicer frequently, you may need to sharpen it more often.
The sharpness of the blade varies depending on the slicer you have. Consult the manual in the SHARPENING THE BLADE section to proceed with this operation. The procedure will be different between models with fixed sharpener and those with removable sharpener.
NB: some models with removable sharpener may not have the sharpener included in the package.
When the operator feels too much resistance when sliding the trolley it is necessary to
